Supporting the Implementation of Regulatory Impact Assessments in Jordan

The “Improved Governance to Support Jordanian Reform Projects” (PARtner) project, led by GIZ on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Co-operation and Development (BMZ), aimed to enhance public administration capacity in Jordan. 

Expectation State collaborated with Andersen for Legal and Tax Consultancy to assist in implementing policy and regulatory impact assessments in key sectors, including Adventure Tourism, Digital Economy and E-Participation. 

Our objective was to support the implementation of policy and regulatory impact assessment practices aligned with the Jordanian government’s endorsed regulatory impact assessment manual (2022), ensuring problem definition, objective setting, regulatory proposal description, alternative identification, benefit and cost analysis, preferred solution identification, and monitoring and evaluation framework development following OECD guidelines.
