Assessing the Feasibility of a Blockchain-enabled Stock Exchange

We were commissioned by GIZ to conduct an economic, legal and technological feasibility study and roadmap for the creation of a digital, blockchain-enabled compartment for start-up financing at the Tunisian Stock Exchange (TSE).

From 2021-2022, we explored the possibility of establishing a dedicated compartment for startup financing, underpinned by innovative technologies. The feasibility study tackled core technical questions related to the value proposition and the legal and technology frameworks for the initiative. We worked to create buy-in within the ecosystem and ensure that the study reflected the needs and expectations of the different stakeholders involved.

The compartment has the potential to accelerate start-up investments and provide new sources of funding. Digital transformation of TSE’s operations and growth aim to improve its ability to finance the economy.
