Evaluating Community-driven Education in Ghana

EduSpots commissioned Expectation State to conduct an external evaluation of its community-driven education model in Ghana. The evaluation aimed to test the assumptions in EduSpots’ theory of change, assess the model’s effectiveness, and provide recommendations for its future development.

A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining quantitative and qualitative data collection across 50 sites in Ghana. The study included surveys, key informant interviews, and focus group discussions, engaging a diverse range of stakeholders, including Catalysts, learners, community members, educators, and EduSpots staff. The findings offered insights into the programme’s impact and areas for improvement to enhance its sustainability and effectiveness.
