Coaching Export Promotion and Trade Agencies in Tunisia

The project PEMA II, is mandated by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), in cooperation with the Tunisian Ministry of Commerce and Export Development and CEPEX. The objective of the project is that Tunisian small and medium-sized enterprises are better able to exploit the commercial potential of the new markets in sub-Saharan Africa.

In partnership with AMENA Trade and Investment, we are delivering the Strengthening The Capacity Building And Coaching Of Tunisian Trade Representations (RCT), as part of the Promotion of export activities, to new markets in Sub-Saharan Africa.

During its current phase, the project is providing technical and financial assistance to Tunisian small and medium-sized enterprises to facilitate market access to sub-Saharan Africa. The project is also supporting its partner CEPEX in creating new services, implementing their digital strategy, and building staff capacity. One of the main capacity building activities is to provide support to CEPEX’s international network of Tunisian trade representations.

Along with AMENA Trade and Investment, we are delivering in-person training for all 15 Tunisian Trade Representations abroad. We are also delivering individualised coaching for existing and potential CEPEX trade representatives, over a 6 months period in 2023.
